And btw, Maria cooks all organic for the kids, breakfast and lunches. My daughter is always smiling when I stop by. The kids seem to have a blast. And I really like the notes she puts in our composition book each day. I find it helpful and appreciate her keeping me as connected as possible. Couldn't say enough good things.

Maria is a loving and knowledgeable caregiver who takes care of each child as if they were her own. Her assistant, Lucy, is also fabulous and so great with the children. My son has been going to Maria for about one year now and he has been so happy. He loves seeing Maria, Lucy and his friends everyday and has so much fun with all of the activities that she provides such as, enrichment music, art, and cooking classes. Her home and daycare is clean and organized and her backyard outdoor area is a perfect place for young children to run around. Maria cooks well-balanced, healthy, and delicious meals for the children. Her menu always includes lots of fruits and veggies, lean proteins and whole wheat breads and noodles. My son enjoys eating her food and I take comfort in knowing that he is being fed wholesome, nutritious food everyday. Young children thrive on consistency, routine and structure and she provides all of these things. Snack, outdoor play, lunch, nap, etc...are always at the same time everyday so the children know exactly what to expect. We feel so fortunate to have found Maria and her family. They have played such an important part of my son and our lives. We couldn't ask for anything more!

She is warm, caring and compassionate and is always willing to work with the parents to provide the best care for the child. The daycare environment is loving, clean, and structured, with daily activities such as outdoor play, music, and art classes. The food provided is very healthy and often organic. Maria really takes the time to create an ideal daycare setting by paying attention to all the little details. We especially love the daily journal entries she provides that outline our son's schedule (naps, meals, activities). Thank you Maria and family!
Marie D. Los Angeles, CA 3/9/11	I first heard about Alejos Family Child Care when I was at the park with my son. I started chatting with another woman at the park who had a baby my son's age, and she mentioned something about her daughter's daycare. She said, "Maria takes such good care of our daughter. . . our daughter has learned so much from her!" When it was time for us to look for daycare for our son, we knew where to come! Our son has been attending Alejos Family Childcare for the past year and a half. He started when he was 13 months, and it was his first daycare situation, as I had stayed home with him before. Maria is knowledgeable, compassionate, and really listens to the parents and the children. She has taken excellent care of our son. She speaks to him in both Spanish and English, which has been great for us. She writes a detailed description of what he ate each day, and how long he napped, and how his day went, which is so helpful for us. She is always honest about any concerns she has about him, and clearly cares about him. She recently added an art, cooking, and music class to her program. We love the small, family atmosphere, and her assistants, Mary and Lucy are outstanding as well. Her husband, Ruben, is often there in the morning, and her daughter is there after school, so it's so great to have the family atmosphere. She has a wonderful space for the children in her home, and she provides wonderful, developmentally appropriate activities for the children. She makes all of the food herself, and the children eat wonderful lunches and snacks. She has a lovely backyard area where the children play each day, too. My husband and I have been extremely happy with our experience here, and we have recommended it to our friends. They have been happy here, too! We feel so lucky we found her.
